Job Description
Major accountabilities:
- Set up, implement, and deploy innovative solutions leveraging the latest advancements in technology to enhance clinical trial recruitment and innovate trial operations, in line with the Operational Execution Plan (OEP). Collaborate closely with the CTT and oversee post-deployment activities with the Portfolio Innovation Director.
- Lead cross-functional teams and vendors to deliver innovative clinical trial solutions within agreed time, cost, and quality expectations.
- Organize vendor kick-off meetings, design reviews, User Acceptance Testing, and lessons learned sessions. Review vendor deliverables such as User Requirements Specifications in partnership with Vendor Management.
- Proactively identify and address potential roadblocks, risks, and issues. Apply continuous learning to improve innovative solutions based on feedback from early adopters and gap analyses.
- Develop and review content for key trial-related documentation (e.g., protocols, ICFs, application cover letters, training materials) where no precedent exists, in collaboration with the Portfolio Innovation Director, CTT, and vendors.
- Ensure consultation and buy-in from cross-functional experts (Regulatory, Quality, Legal, Data Privacy) during trial-specific delivery of innovative solutions.
- Develop and manage new processes where none exist, ensuring compliance with current regulations.
- Contribute to creating success criteria, guidance, processes, and templates for scalable implementation with future solution owners.
- Support the identification of emerging technologies and external trends to keep GCO at the forefront of innovation.
- Participate in the Innovation team to oversee the innovation pipeline, ensuring ongoing learning and scalability assessments for effective technology adoption.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences/healthcare.
- 5+ years of experience in clinical trial innovation and/or solution delivery in the focus areas of clinical trial recruitment and operations.
- 7+ years of experience in pharmaceutical clinical drug development.
- Proven track record in developing and implementing technology solutions, including AI, within life sciences, with knowledge of applying AI models to solve business problems.
- Experience in strategy development and translating strategies into project/program implementation within a complex matrix environment.
- Deep understanding of data analytics tools and techniques, with the ability to interpret large datasets to extract insights.
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree or equivalent in life sciences/healthcare.
