As a senior engineer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and maintaining lasting client relationships
  • Defining project and proposal scopes
  • Leading single and multi-discipline engineering projects, design reviews, and preparing technical reports
  • Planning and coordinating work from feasibility studies to commissioning
  • Developing technical documents and providing technical training
  • Participating in engineering studies
  • Preparing detailed engineering designs and technical specifications for construction
  • Assigning and reviewing work of junior engineers, technicians, and drafters

Qualifications and job requirements:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Member of a Canadian professional engineering association
  • 5+ years in a Canadian consulting engineering environment
  • Practical experience in the power sector (renewable generation, transmission)
  • Knowledge of Ontario utilities standards and interconnection processes
  • Experience in troubleshooting, commissioning, and system installation
  • Excellent technical writing skills
  • Availability to occasionally travel to client locations and offices
  • Experience in cost estimation and proposal presentation
  • Asset: Proficiency in a second or third language (French and/or Spanish)
  • Asset: Advanced degree (M.Sc., Ph.D.)
