We are seeking a dynamic and technically adept Cloud Solution Architect specializing in Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will bring not only exceptional technical skills but also the confidence and charisma to impress clients in every interaction. You will play a critical role in working with clients to design, deploy, and manage complex Azure-based solutions.
Responsibilities
Solution Design and Architecture :
- Develop and design robust cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure, aligning with client requirements and best practices such as the CAF and WAF.
- Create comprehensive architecture diagrams and technical documentation to communicate design decisions clearly.
- Provide technical leadership to help deliver existing and develop new service offerings, focusing on current and emerging Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Lead proposal writing processes, understanding customer requirements, and authoring the response.
Client Engagement and Presentations :
- Lead client meetings and presentations, effectively communicating complex technical concepts.
- Serve as a trusted advisor, showcasing deep Azure expertise.
- Attend client discovery calls to uncover requirements and new opportunities.
- Work with the Sales team to strategize about client technical needs.
Deployment and Migration:
- Plan and oversee the execution of complex technical projects from lift and shift migrations to application modernization.
- Be a resource on projects as required to meet or exceed delivery expectations.
Infrastructure Management:
- Implement automation scripts and infrastructure as code using Azure CLI, PowerShell, Bicep, or ARM templates.
- Create repeatable processes and playbooks for the delivery team.
Security and Compliance:
- Design and implement secure solutions, covering areas like identity and access management and network security.
- Ensure solutions adhere to regulatory requirements and organizational policies.
Monitoring and Optimization:
- Set up and manage monitoring solutions to ensure optimal performance of Azure resources.
- Perform regular performance tuning and optimization.
Backup and Disaster Recovery:
- Develop and implement backup and disaster recovery plans.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and provide expert guidance.
- Provide advanced support for Azure-related issues.
Mentorship and Relationships:
- Provide mentorship to the technical team and build relationships with key clients.
- Help others think critically about complex technical solutions.
- Stay current with Azure technologies and recommend improvements.
Qualifications
Must Have Experience:
- 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure.
- 7-10 years of experience in systems administration.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications such as AZ-103, AZ-104, AZ-305, AZ-400.
- Proven experience as a Cloud Technical Architect or similar role.
- Experience in professional services doing solution architecture for clients.
- Deep technical expertise in Azure services, including compute, storage, networking, security, and monitoring.
- Strong scripting skills with Azure CLI, PowerShell, Bicep, and ARM templates.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code techniques and CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to juggle many priorities across multiple clients and projects.
- Experience mentoring technical team members.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach.
- Collaborative spirit and commitment to the team’s success.
You must be comfortable talking to people and have the ability to confidently discuss technical topics. If you don’t know something, you should be eager to research and expand your knowledge.
