maxgeo is a leading supplier of data solutions to the mining and exploration industry. Currently, there is a full-time opportunity for a Senior Geological Data Consultant to join our global team. We are based in Fremantle, WA,providing flexibility with our hybrid work environment(home & office mix)and accommodating remote locations too.
Our head office is located in Fremantle, WA, however this role will be based at our branch in Vancouver, Canada.
Role requirements

- Attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential
- Practical experience inthe mining / exploration industry
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
- Compilation and administration of geological databases from clients
- Monitoring and reporting on geological activities
- Assessment of data quality against set criteria
- Production of weekly and monthly statistics and reports
- Data preparation and delivery / transmission to clients
- Liaising with clients, as well as site visits (ability to travel)
- Providing insights and recommendations to the business
- Understanding and supporting maxgeo solutions
- Client consulting and communication
- Delivering training of maxgeo products to clients
Skills and experience
- Minimum of 3-years’ experience in mining or exploration
- Minimum 3-years’ experience with geological databases
- Working knowledge of DataShed is an advantage
- Tertiary qualification in computing science or geoscience is an advantage
- Exposure to automating data capture
- Willing and able to travel
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Team player with excellent client focus
