Associate Attorney – Commercial Litigator
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled Associate Attorney with 7-11 years of experience in commercial litigation to join an exciting and driven elite boutique litigation firm. Partnership track options. Team atmosphere.
Responsibilities:
- Handle a diverse caseload of complex commercial litigation matters.
- Conduct legal research, draft legal documents, and prepare for hearings and trials.
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and tactics.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts
- Take contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, oppression, derivative proceedings, property related disputes etc to court
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree
- Admission to the Law Society of British Columbia
- 7-11 years of experience in commercial litigation(contractual disputes, shareholder disputes, oppression, derivative proceedings, property related disputes etc.)
- Strong academic credentials, clerkship a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to excel in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
- Experience with big law firms preferred, but not required.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary commensurate with experience.
