Role Summary
The Infotainment team is at the forefront of reimagining mobility, responsible for creating an ecosystem that delivers a beautiful and intuitive in-vehicle experience to Rivian drivers and passengers.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy embedded platforms for the Infotainment system (displays, cameras, graphics, power management, audio, Bluetooth, etc.)
- Conduct software design and code reviews, and assist team members with technical issues and design decisions
- Analyze requirements, and oversee architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment throughout the software lifecycle
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Connected Car, Self-Driving, and Powertrain
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred
- 8+ years of experience in developing embedded system software from requirements to maintenance
- Proficiency in modern C and/or C++ programming
- Experience with POSIX-based embedded systems; Linux and Android preferred
- Deep knowledge in areas such as displays, cameras, graphics, power management, audio, Bluetooth
- Optional: scripting languages like PERL or Python, low-level interfaces such as I2C, SPI, GPIO, UART, USB, PCIe, SDIO, UFS, MDIO
Additional Information
Salary Range (British Columbia): $137,300 CAD – $171,600 CAD, based on experience and other factors.
