This is a one-year contract opportunity with the flexibility to work in a hybrid or fully remote arrangement.

As our Senior IT Consultant , you will play a critical leadership role in shaping and driving the company’s technology vision. You will be responsible for designing and executing an enterprise-wide IT strategy that enables secure, efficient, and scalable operations across the organization.

This position requires a forward-thinking leader with a strong grasp of IT governance, digital transformation, infrastructure management, and cybersecurity. The Sr. IT Consultant will ensure that all technology initiatives are aligned with the company’s long-term business objectives, supporting innovation, operational excellence, and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute the IT roadmap in alignment with business goals, ensuring IT initiatives drive operational efficiency and support corporate growth.
  • Drive innovation and digital transformation initiatives, including cloud computing, automation, and AI-driven analytics to improve decision-making.
  • Ensure IT policies and procedures align with regulatory, security, and industry best practices, including aviation-specific requirements.
  • Identify and implement emerging technologies that provide a competitive advantage in aircraft maintenance, operations, and logistics.
  • Provide strategic direction for IT budgeting, ensuring cost-effective technology investments that align with business objectives.
  • Establish and maintain key IT performance metrics to measure efficiency, security, and service delivery.
  • Oversee cybersecurity strategy, ensuring compliance with aviation, federal, and industry-specific regulations.
  • Implement risk management frameworks to protect digital assets, prevent cyber threats, and safeguard sensitive company and client data.
  • Develop and enforce IT security policies, data protection standards, and access control measures across all business functions.
  • Lead the organization’s incident response plan, ensuring timely identification, containment, and resolution of security breaches or cyberattacks.
  • Ensure the stability, scalability, and security of IT infrastructure, including networks, data centers, cloud environments, and enterprise applications.
  • Oversee IT service management (ITSM) frameworks, ensuring high-quality IT support and end-user experience.
  • Lead and mentor IT personnel, fostering a high-performing team culture that supports business needs and innovation.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to align IT solutions with business requirements, ensuring technology enhances productivity and compliance.
  • Manage vendor relationships, negotiating contracts to secure cost-effective, high-quality IT services and technology solutions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a closely related field is required.
  • A master’s degree in business administration (MBA) or IT Management is a strong asset.
  • Industry-recognized certifications such as CISSP, CISM, PMP, or ITIL are considered an advantage.
  • At least 15 years of progressive experience in senior IT leadership roles.
  • Deep expertise in IT governance, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead with strategic vision and drive organizational growth.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a proven track record in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.

You must be legally eligible to work for a Canadian company (e.g., be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or possess a valid work permit) and provide a clear Criminal Background Check.
