Title: Senior FrontEnd Engineer
Location: Toronto, Canada
Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior Frontend Developer with expertise in creating highly scalable UI solutions based on microservices architecture. This role offers a unique opportunity to build new products from the ground up. You will collaborate with a highly skilled cross-functional team to enhance our core banking platform.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Lead the design and delivery of high-quality features and enhancements.
• Provide estimates and actively participate in the sprint planning process.
• Develop highly secure solutions.
• Optimize the performance of the existing codebase and conduct peer code reviews.
• Collaborate closely with the technical lead and team members to design and plan components and interaction patterns, actively participating in design discussions and decision-making processes.
• Engage in technical and architectural discussions about our front-end applications.
Qualifications and Skills
• Experience in front-end development and knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks like React or Vue.js.
• Proficiency in writing and working with REST APIs.
• Ability to collaborate with other cross-functional teams working on features for our customers.
• Familiarity with automated build pipelines, continuous integration, or continuous delivery.
• Proven experience using code repositories such as GitHub.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with UX designers and Product owners to deliver the best user experience for our customers.
• Proven ability to deliver high-quality code using automated tests for unit tests and end-to-end tests (using Jest, Cypress, Playwright).
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, customer-centric environment.
• 5+ years of experience in web application development using Agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Nice to Have
• Experience with A/B testing.
• Familiarity with deploying to cloud providers and container-based distributed systems (Docker).
• Familiarity with *nix-like environments.
