Description
The Resources will act as a subject matter expert on a variety of infrastructure projects including service enablement, networking, and proof of concept for new features. Responsibilities include designing, supporting, and configuring SDN networking, securing networks, colo network improvements, and supporting service delivery excellence including automation. They will also assist with complex cluster solutions that require integration with cloud services, support FTE builders with complex projects on-prem or in cloud, and act as site reliability engineers as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Improve and support the day-to-day operations of on-prem infrastructure, including integration with cloud vendors, networking, and optimization.
- Create and conduct automation activities.
- Support migration to new hardware and software stacks; assist in refresh strategies to enhance lifecycle management.
- Assist in process refinement and application performance improvements.
- Refresh legacy environments.
- Support FTEs in complex client projects, including design and build activities.
- Assist with incidents for mission-critical applications as required.
- Guide the integration team to enable networking and pipeline services.
Skills & Experience Requirements:
Extensive knowledge in deploying and managing core IT systems, including networks, firewalls, SDN, and hypervisors. Proficiency in networking and VMware with hands-on experience. Experience building new infrastructure via automation based on design specifications. Ability to integrate services such as identity management, logging, and monitoring. Capable of generating reports and facilitating skills
