Business Overview

The CRM support group is part of the IS division and provides support for Customer Relationship Management and Marketing applications for Fidelity Investments Canada. Reporting to the CRM Support Team Manager, the software developer is responsible for developing and supporting CRM and Events Management solutions, supporting existing tools, evaluating new solutions, and providing rotating on-call support for Salesforce.com and Marketo applications.

Key Accountabilities

  • Architect, develop, and maintain system integrations with Salesforce using various APIs.
  • Lead development projects, coordinate developer activities to meet milestones.
  • Write and optimize backend code, primarily in Apex, to extend Salesforce functionalities.
  • Develop and configure Marketo event management tools.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure scalable and business-aligned solutions.
  • Provide technical support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure smooth data flow.
  • Support Marketo initiatives, including campaigns, webhooks, and administration.
  • Complete unit testing and collaborate with teams for error-free implementation.
  • Participate in CRM and Events Management upgrades and migrations.
  • Proactively suggest process and solution enhancements.

Skills, Knowledge And Experience

  • 8+ years of software development experience, with 4+ years focused on Salesforce.
  • Strong knowledge of LWC, Apex, and API integration services.
  • Familiarity with data governance and security best practices.
  • Experience in Java and Web Services development.
  • Experience across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated team player.

Nice to Have

  • Hands-on Marketo experience, especially campaigns and webhooks.
  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud and Financial Cloud development.
  • Experience with REST Web Services.
  • Experience in the investment industry, particularly mutual funds.

Education

  • University degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Salesforce Certification (Platform Developer I or II) preferred.
