Head of Brand, New Channels & Icons – Global (Contract)

Known as “The Abnormal Beauty Company”, DECIEM is the parent company of The Ordinary, NIOD, and other beauty brands. It is an industry disruptor with a science-first approach to innovation. Co-founded in 2013 by the late Brandon Truaxe and Nicola Kilner, DECIEM aims to change the beauty industry through authenticity, transparency, kindness, creativity, diversity, and respect.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re seeking a Head of Brand, New Markets & Icons – Global (1-year contract) , responsible for the vision and strategy for The Ordinary icons, acting as the brand guardian across all facets of brand and business management. Additionally, you will oversee all new market and channel launches.

This role is hybrid, based out of our Liberty Village Toronto office.

WHAT YOU’D BE DOING IN THIS ROLE

  • Manage go-to-market campaigns for Icon initiatives from start to finish.
  • Plan and execute campaigns to acquire new customers, retain existing ones, and improve brand health.
  • Develop detailed briefs for creative and downstream teams, aligned with channel and business objectives.
  • Monitor the competitive landscape and provide strategic insights to maintain DECIEM’s disruptive position.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure brand consistency and positive brand equity during expansion.
  • Oversee brand management for new markets/channels, including owned, earned, paid media, customer experience, and retail partnerships.
  • Coordinate business elements such as commercial, social responsibility, scientific, and regulatory aspects.
  • Work with Scientific and Product teams to adapt products for new markets.
  • Track and analyze brand health metrics, providing insights and field observations.
  • Bring retail innovation and trend insights to leadership.
  • Ensure cultural relevance and positive brand perception in new markets.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Extensive understanding of the beauty industry, with branding experience in fashion, lifestyle, or personal goods preferred.
  • 8+ years in 360 brand campaigns, with 5+ years in leadership or management roles.
  • Proven success in integrated, omnichannel campaigns.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to derive insights from data.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, future-oriented, and self-motivated.
