This position involves responsibilities such as suppliers’ primary evaluations, PCPA audits, technical sign-off, APQP implementation, risk assessment and mitigation, design review, tool kick-off, tool development tracking, and readiness review of fixtures, gauges, and tools. Additional tasks include tool trials, parts fitment reports, corrective actions, approval for fit and functions, ECN/FETE implementations, testing and validations, safe launch, PSW sign-off, smooth SOP and ramp-up, final development handover, and supplier performance enhancement. The role requires around 10 to 15% travel to various suppliers’ locations.
Competencies include EMS – Supply Chain Management, with 8-10 years of experience.
Essential skills include heavy engineering product exposure, experience with forging, casting, machining, sheet metal fabrication, standard hardware, understanding of material standards, AWS welding standards, reading complex engineering prints, sheet metal design and manufacturing, GDT, design for manufacturing concepts, and mandatory welding certification.
Desirable skills involve experience with supplier quality engineering related to heavy machinery.
