Reporting to the Lead, Medical Strategy – Specialty Products, your mission will be to play a role as an MSL in the specialty group. This field-based position will cover Ontario East and Atlantic regions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Support Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and other Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) in understanding complex scientific and clinical concepts and product-related data to increase awareness and understanding of our products and their indications.
  • Develop strong relationships with Canadian KOLs, HCPs, researchers, and professional organizations in their therapeutic fields.
  • Conduct KOL mapping and gather medical insights on current market trends, clinical practices, and patient flow.
  • Evaluate research proposals from institutions or individuals based on scientific needs, support the development and evaluation of preliminary protocols for Investigator Initiated Studies, and supervise the execution of Investigator Initiated Trials.
  • Provide scientific and strategic support for ongoing post-marketing studies (phase IV, registries, etc.).
  • Support product and disease training for Bausch Health products to sales representatives.
  • Conduct scientific presentations and educational sessions related to Bausch Health products and relevant diseases.
  • Collaborate with regional sales teams to support local initiatives such as educational programs, round tables, regional consult meetings, train-the-trainer sessions, speaker tours, and conferences.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Education: MD, PhD, MSc in health sciences, PharmD, or bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
  • Minimum of one year in an MSL or related field position is preferred; alternatively, two years in other pharmaceutical roles such as Medical Advisor or specialty sales representative.

Strong strategic thinking and networking skills with good business acumen. A solid scientific background complemented by excellent communication and presentation skills. Resourceful and adaptable to changing priorities. An excellent team player with experience working in cross-functional teams.
