What will you do?
The Site Manager will work closely with the Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Recycling and Waste Centre, including scale, waste handling, and recycling depot operations. This role also involves monitoring compliance with safety and other regulations. The facility operates nearly 24 hours a day, 363 days a year.
- Ensure smooth operation of the facility in accordance with the operating contract.
- Ensure the efficient handling of recyclables and waste to maximize production safely.
- Achieve daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance tasks and goals to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Establish and meet budgetary objectives through resourceful management of resources, including labour, equipment, and supplies.
- Oversee up to 25 direct and indirect reports.
- Review and evaluate work to ensure quality, timeliness, and adherence to policies and procedures.
