What will your typical day look like?
In this Role you are focusing on the Insurance practice in our Financial Engineering & Modeling team, you will:
• Conduct independent validations of insurance models (pricing, valuation, asset, LICAT & IFRS 17) in compliance with the Model Risk Policy, standards and guidelines
• Identify potential risks embedded in the model design and usage, and provide constructive challenges and recommendations to mitigate model risk
• Communicate the model validation results to senior leadership and model owners, prepare a Model Validation plan/report that details the validation scope, testing approach, test results, findings and conclusions
While this role focuses on insurance model validation, it is a very dynamic opportunity to work closely with other areas and broaden your horizon.
About the team
The Financial Engineering & Modeling team comprises of eminent bunch of subject matter experts from quantitative finance backgrounds working across risk/insurance modelling, valuations, Global Investment Performance Standards (GIPS) related financial sphere.

Enough about us, let’s talk about you
You are someone who has:
• For Analyst, 0 – 1 year of relevant experience required; for Consultant, 1 – 3 years of relevant experienced required; for Senior Consultant, 2 – 5+ years of relevant experience required.
• Strong technical skills including Axis, Excel, and VBA; knowledge of programming is an asset
• Ability to work under tight deadlines and with multiple priorities
• Ability to explain complex actuarial and financial modeling techniques in a simple and concise way
• Ability to work independently and in cross-functional team settings
• Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Pays great attention to details
• Prior modeling or validation experience
Total Rewards
The salary range for this position is $56,000 – $84,000 (Analyst), $68,000 – $102,000 (Consultant), or $84,000 – $126,000 (Senior Consultant). Individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program. Individuals may also be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
