About the Role:
Inline Group Inc. is seeking a Principal Geotechnical Engineer to lead and grow our geotechnical practice in the Vancouver region. This is a senior-level role focused on infrastructure projects. You will serve as the technical authority on large-scale projects while driving client relationships and contributing to strategic growth.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead geotechnical engineering for major infrastructure projects (transportation, utilities, municipal works).
- Serve as Engineer of Record, overseeing site investigations, design, and technical deliverables.
- Act as the regional lead for business development: identify opportunities, build client relationships, and drive proposal efforts.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
- Provide mentorship to junior engineers and technical guidance across the BC region.
- Attend and lead client meetings, presentations, and strategic planning sessions.
Required Qualifications:
- P.Eng. designation in BC (or eligible for registration with Engineers and Geoscientists BC).
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (Master’s or PhD preferred).
- 15+ years of progressive geotechnical experience, including infrastructure projects.
- Demonstrated success in client engagement, proposal writing, and business development.
- Deep technical knowledge in geotechnical investigation, foundation design, slope stability, and soil-structure interaction.
- Strong leadership, mentorship, and communication skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Regional expertise in Lower Mainland and Vancouver Island soil/seismic conditions.
- Portfolio includes highways, bridges, transit, utilities, or municipal developments.
- Experience working with municipal governments and public agencies.
- Track record of developing innovative, cost-effective geotechnical solutions.
