REQUIRED IMMEDIATELY!!! We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Litigation Associate to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in legal principles, excellent research and writing skills, and the ability to effectively negotiate on behalf of clients. This role offers an opportunity to work on a variety of litigation matters.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research to support case preparation.
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery requests.
- Assist in the development of case strategies and provide recommendations based on research findings.
- Prepare for depositions, hearings, and trials by organizing evidence and drafting necessary documents.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing counsel while advocating for clients’ best interests.
- Maintain accurate case files and documentation throughout the litigation process.
Requirements
- An upstanding and active member of the Law Society of Alberta.
- Litigation experience is required .
- Strong legal drafting skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to negotiate effectively and advocate for clients’ needs.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
