Job Description
Shared Health, Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA), and The University of Manitoba, Department of Internal Medicine, are inviting applications for a physician to fill our labour shortage in Manitoba. Main duties include diagnosing and treating diseases, prescribing medications, ordering lab tests, X-rays, and other diagnostic procedures, and consulting with other physicians as required.
This position includes an academic appointment within the Section of Endocrinology. Section members provide direct patient care via ambulatory care clinics and consultative services at two tertiary care teaching hospitals. The section consists of 18 faculty members providing specialized inpatient and outpatient care for hormonal and metabolic disorders. The section is committed to clinical services, teaching, and research.
Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree with specialization in endocrinology, be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and be registered with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
Compensation
Compensation is based on fee-for-service income. Specialty physicians may be eligible for a recruitment incentive. Please contact for more information.
