What will your typical day look like?
We are seeking a skilled Senior Consultant to join our Investigations, Disputes & Claims team. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong background in forensic accounting and the ability to lead investigations and dispute resolutions.
As a Senior Consultant, you will:
• be a part of a team of forensic accountants and analysts in delivering high-quality services.
• develop and implement strategies for effective dispute resolution and investigation processes.
• provide mentorship and training to junior team members to enhance their professional growth.
• serve as a point of contact for clients, ensuring clear communication and understanding of their needs.
• prepare and present detailed reports and findings to clients, stakeholders, and legal teams.
• conduct comprehensive forensic accounting investigations, including fraud investigations, financial analysis, and data integrity assessments.
• analyze complex financial data to identify discrepancies, trends, and potential areas of concern.
• utilize advanced analytical tools and methodologies to support investigative processes.
• collaborate with legal teams to prepare and review financial documentation for court cases.
• provide expert evidence and support in legal proceedings and arbitration.
• manage multiple client’s engagements at the same time.
• contribute to the growth and development of the practice.
• help develop and deliver training programs.
About the team
Deloitte’s team of forensic accounting professionals identify and deal with a wide range of commercial disputes and financial irregularities, and deliver clear, logical, and supported analyses, opinions and reports. We apply a variety of quantitative and qualitative techniques to isolate and analyze alleged damages resulting from business interruption, alleged fraud and corruption, breach of contract, negligence, breach of duty, infringement of intellectual property, and similar circumstances. We quantify real or potential losses, investigate fraud, locate misappropriated funds, and act as independent experts in commercial disputes and financial litigation.
Our Investigations, Disputes & Claims team is made up of specialists in forensic accounting, business valuation, financial analysis, and computer forensics.
Enough about us, let’s talk about you
You are someone with :
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA designation is highly preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in forensic accounting, investigations, or related fields.
• Professional credential such as Chartered Business Valuator (CBV), Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) or Certified Financial Crime Specialist (CFCS) is an asset.
• Deep commitment to professionalism and client service excellence.
• Exceptional communication in both French and English, writing and presentation skills;
• Proven ability to deliver the full cycle of project management accountabilities.
• Proven analytical skills and systematic problem solving with strong attention to detail.
• Ability to build mathematical representation of various client scenarios and generate robust insights to drive data-driven decision making.
Total Rewards
The salary range for Consultant is $60,000 – $90,000 ($72,000 – $108,000 for Senior Consultant), and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
