The opportunity
As an IGA consultant, you will lead IGA advisory and implementation projects, assisting clients with assessment, technical design, and implementation of Identity and Access Management solutions.
The ideal candidate must have experience in driving IAM strategy, technological changes, and delivering projects in both cloud and on-premises environments. Familiarity with risk frameworks, compliance, and auditing controls for implementing identity and access management solutions on cloud-based and on-premises resources is essential. Experience with integrating solutions on different IAM platforms such as SailPoint, Saviynt, and Microsoft Entra ID Governance is required.
Your key responsibilities:
- Conduct IGA assessments, architecture design, solution development, and implementation
- Provide subject-matter expertise on IGA topics related to cloud and on-premises enterprise technology
- Participate in enterprise governance processes and promote IAM standards adoption
- Develop architecture solutions that meet immediate needs and support business growth while aligning with strategic visions
- Align information security policies and standards with industry best practices and business needs, especially in cloud adoption
- Manage technical delivery of IGA projects, working directly with stakeholders and project teams
- Review and manage technical IGA roadmaps
- Deliver expertise in security configuration architecture for IGA solutions
- Develop IGA solutions addressing issues caused by processes, threats, and technological changes
- Implement customized use cases and solutions
- Set up IGA policies, ensure audit compliance, and implement governance frameworks
- Provide technical expertise for complex problems
- Conduct training sessions and workshops on IGA best practices and tools
- Monitor identity governance metrics for improvement opportunities
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies in identity governance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for seamless IGA integration
- Support business development through proposals and presentations
Skills and attributes for success:
- 3-5 years of experience with IGA platforms like SailPoint, Saviynt, and Microsoft Entra ID Governance, including end-to-end implementation projects
- Experience in application onboarding, requirements gathering for compliance and provisioning
- Hands-on experience with Lifecycle management, Application On-Boarding, Access Request, Automated Provisioning, Password Management, RBAC, and Risk Models
- Understanding of industry best practices for access management, enforcement, and governance
- Experience integrating authoritative sources with provisioning into systems like LDAP and Active Directory
- Experience setting up Segregation of Duties (SoD) and recertification processes
- Knowledge of development languages and tools (Java, Webservices, SQL)
- Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure
- Knowledge of standards like NIST and DIACCC
- Strong problem-solving skills
Minimum qualifications:
- Hands-on experience across all phases of IAM solution implementation: Assessment, Design, Configure, Build, Test, Deploy, Support
- Proven ability to optimize existing IGA solutions
Preferred qualifications:
- Canadian Federal Security Clearance (a plus)
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, or architecture frameworks like TOGAF/SABSA (a plus)
