The Western Canada finance team is based in Calgary, Alberta and plays a key role in the financial success of the Western Region. The team reports directly to the President of Western Canada and is involved in strategic decision-making. The team in Calgary includes 1 Senior Analyst, 1 Junior Analyst, and 1 VIE position. The VIE will be involved in all finance deliverables, gaining comprehensive understanding of the business, providing insights through data analysis, monitoring financial data, and collaborating with teams to meet financial objectives and improve operational efficiency. Position based in Calgary, Alberta – CANADA for an initial period of 18 months, extendable.
This position is open only to candidates eligible for the VIE program. Applicants must meet the requirements outlined at this link .

Interested in joining a dynamic finance team? Eager to work in a fast-paced environment with key stakeholders? Air Liquide Canada seeks a FP&A Analyst supporting the western region, providing data-driven insights, monitoring financial data, and collaborating across teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyze data trends, operational metrics, and key drivers to assess business performance
- Provide sales variance analysis
- Prepare monthly financial reports and summarize trends
- Update the standard cost model for product costing and plant allocation
- Develop KPIs and BI reports for the western region
- Create dashboards and reports for operational monitoring
- Collaborate with the pricing team to update prices for invoicing and contracts
Candidate profile:
Minimum requirements:
- No professional experience in the host country (internships, part-time jobs, student jobs are excluded)
Education: Business degree focusing on accounting or finance
Skills:
- Attention to detail, time management, organization
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Experience with spreadsheets, pivot tables, lookups
Nice to have:
- Experience with BI reporting
- Knowledge of ERP systems like Oracle or SAP S4 Hana
Languages:
- English fluency required
- Additional languages are a plus
