An exciting Temporary Full-Time role as a Financial Business Partner is available in the Finance department, reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Transformation . Responsibilities include managing daily operations of assigned programs, budget preparation, forecasting, financial analysis, monthly reporting, and supporting ad hoc projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Partner with program areas to provide financial analysis, communicate risks, and collaborate on risk mitigation strategies.
  2. Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including statistical indicators, accruals, and performance explanations.
  3. Assist program managers in preparing budgets and forecasts by analyzing historical data and growth trends.
  4. Meet regularly with budget owners to review operations, conduct variance analysis, and support management decisions.
  5. Support the auditing process by providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
  6. Contribute to external reporting to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, including submissions and compliance documentation.
  7. Collaborate on business case development and operational change evaluations.
  8. Prepare financial reports and presentation materials for senior management to facilitate decision-making.
  9. Provide backup support within the Finance department as needed.
  10. Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and legislative requirements across business units.

Qualifications:

  • Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s in Business Administration or related field is an asset.
  • Minimum of five years of relevant financial experience.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of SAP and EPIC is an asset.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Ability to take initiative, work independently and in teams, and handle a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to professional behavior and safety principles.
