An exciting Temporary Full-Time role as a Financial Business Partner is available in the Finance department, reporting to the Manager, Financial Planning & Transformation . Responsibilities include managing daily operations of assigned programs, budget preparation, forecasting, financial analysis, monthly reporting, and supporting ad hoc projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with program areas to provide financial analysis, communicate risks, and collaborate on risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including statistical indicators, accruals, and performance explanations.
- Assist program managers in preparing budgets and forecasts by analyzing historical data and growth trends.
- Meet regularly with budget owners to review operations, conduct variance analysis, and support management decisions.
- Support the auditing process by providing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
- Contribute to external reporting to the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, including submissions and compliance documentation.
- Collaborate on business case development and operational change evaluations.
- Prepare financial reports and presentation materials for senior management to facilitate decision-making.
- Provide backup support within the Finance department as needed.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies, procedures, and legislative requirements across business units.

Qualifications:
- Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field; Master’s in Business Administration or related field is an asset.
- Minimum of five years of relevant financial experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office; knowledge of SAP and EPIC is an asset.
- Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to take initiative, work independently and in teams, and handle a fast-paced environment.
