What you’ll do:

  1. Contribute to setting the roadmap and vision for the development of the Agile Roadmap within Aviva and drive execution of committed Roadmap milestones.
  2. Hire, manage, coach, and develop a team of Scrum Masters, including making hiring versus outsourcing decisions and assessing the performance of external Scrum Masters.
  3. Assess the maturity of product owners and other key Agile roles, identify gaps, and help close them through targeted training, coaching, and hands-on tooling.
  4. Anticipate demands for Agile key roles within the transformation portfolio and collaborate with stakeholders including IT, Business, and Transformation Management Office (TMO) to develop approaches to fill supply gaps.
  5. Actively coach and train Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and other key roles in Agile delivery, including Agile practices, ceremonies, tools, and templates support.
  6. Contribute to defining and implementing approaches to scale Agile across the transformation portfolio.
  7. Advise and lead selected Agile delivery teams within Aviva on Agile setup, practices, processes, and overall approach to executing quickly and with quality.
  8. Work with key stakeholders within TMO, IT, and the business to define Agile metrics for forecasting and predictability, and support teams in capturing and reporting these metrics.
  9. Augment ACF (Aviva Change Framework) artifacts with Agile metrics and tools in collaboration with stakeholders within TMO.
  10. Drive Agile maturity assessments and health checks across the transformation portfolio.
  11. Own and develop key onboarding materials for transformation initiatives.
  12. Coach, mentor, and train Aviva delivery teams on industry-leading Agile, Scrum, and Kanban processes, providing guidance and motivation.
  13. Consolidate learnings, approaches, and best practices across Agile initiatives, share within the wider Aviva Agile community, and conduct knowledge-sharing events.
  14. Represent Aviva at key Agile industry events and communities of practice.

What you’ll bring:

  • 10+ years’ experience delivering Agile solutions as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, Product Owner, or equivalent, leading 3-5 teams.
  • Expert understanding of Agile values and principles.
  • Profound knowledge of Agile frameworks, especially Scrum.
  • Ideally, experience in Insurance or Financial Services.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and ability to inspire change and improvement.
  • Knowledge of successful Agile techniques and software development processes.
  • Self-motivation and willingness to learn and explore new ideas.
  • Certifications in CSM, PSM (mandatory), and preferably in Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
