ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead planning, execution, and delivery of complex healthcare projects in Newfoundland and Labrador. This onsite role involves managing scope, timelines, budgets, and risks, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and stakeholder expectations. You will oversee all project phases and foster collaboration across teams and organizations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Plan, lead, coordinate, and oversee implementation of healthcare projects.
- Identify milestones, success factors, and resource needs.
- Proactively manage risks and issues, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain related data.
- Engage stakeholders regularly, manage expectations, and communicate progress.
- Support change management, drive adoption, and ensure smooth transitions to operations.
- Lead initiatives involving technology and organizational change.
- Collaborate with partners and vendors to deliver projects on plan.
- Manage budgets and align deliverables with business benefits.
- Negotiate scope, schedule, and budget changes with sponsors and committees.
- Analyze and resolve project issues, research as needed.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Minimum 10 years of project management experience on large projects.
- Strong understanding of IT processes including infrastructure, security, systems, networks, cloud, applications, and programming.
- Experience in public sector and/or healthcare sectors.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively and autonomously in teams.
- Excellent communication skills for diverse audiences, including senior and technical stakeholders.
- At least 5 years managing projects with multiple stakeholder groups.
- At least 5 years of experience working with Meditech environments.
- French language skills are an asset.
- Knowledge of consulting, organizational change management, and project management methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or related field.
- Relevant certifications such as PMP or PROSCI are assets.
- Knowledge of HL7 standards and integrations is a plus.
- Continuous learner, curious, creative, and proactive.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a team environment.
