Base pay range
CA$140,000.00/yr – CA$180,000.00/yr

We are hiring a Senior Frontend Engineer who will contribute to our customers’ experience using Secoda and the overall success of the company. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with design, product management, and engineering to shape our core platform, improving performance, and influencing our product roadmap.

What you will be doing:
- Build AI-powered interfaces that help answer data questions or automate tasks.
- Develop interactive data visualization components including lineage graphs, dependency trees, and analytical charts that help users understand complex data relationships and workflows.
- Improve React component performance by profiling and optimizing rendering.
- Create governance tools such as data quality monitoring, business glossary management, and compliance tracking that integrate into teams’ existing processes.
- Design cross-platform experiences on web applications, browser extensions, and API integrations that bring data discovery into users’ daily workflows.
Who you are:
- Curious and understand the core frontend technologies in our stack: React, TypeScript, MobX, Prosemirror, and React Query
- Autonomous in figuring out the solutions to challenges
- Care about users and crafting a great product experience
- Curious and willing to learn something you don’t have experience in
- Uphold an unreasonable quality bar in engineering and design
- Value clear and frequent communication
Bonus Points:
- Familiarity with data tools such as data warehouses (Snowflake & BigQuery), BI (Tableau, Looker & Mode), and others (dbt & Fivetran)
- Experience working in early-stage startup environments
