The Role
The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Senior Applied AI Architect partners with customers to design and build scalable, flexible, and resilient cloud architectures and solutions. AWS Applied AI Architects collaborate with AWS Sales and other AWS teams to help address customer business challenges and accelerate the adoption of AWS services.
As a trusted customer advocate, Applied AI Architects help organizations understand best practices around advanced cloud-based solutions, and provide advice on strategies for building, migrating, and scaling generative AI & ML workloads in the cloud. You’ll help drive successful business outcomes across a broad set of enterprise customers through your passion for educating, training, designing, and building cloud solutions.
As a Senior Applied AI Architect, you will use ML and Generative AI tools, such as Amazon SageMaker, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q, and other technologies to design, evangelize, and implement state-of-the-art solutions for complex problems. You’ll help drive successful business outcomes through your expertise in educating, training, designing, and building cloud-hosted Generative AI solutions.
You will design and develop generative AI industry solutions involving large-scale data processing and modeling. Responsibilities include defining requirements, creating solution designs, implementing code, and supporting deployed solutions. You will also help shape and execute strategies to promote deep adoption of AWS services within your customers by mobilizing AWS resources and working with our partner network.
Travel is mostly regional, expected to be 15-20%.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure success in designing, building, and migrating applications, software, and services on AWS.
- Interact with customers to understand business problems and assist in implementing their AI/ML ecosystems.
- Educate customers on AWS value propositions and showcase possibilities.
- Participate in architectural discussions and design exercises for AWS solutions.
- Contribute to AWS publications such as whitepapers, workshops, demos, and proofs of concept.
- Build relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable cloud advocacy.
- Share best practices within the AWS Architect community.

Basic Qualifications
- 5+ years in technology domains like software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, security, networking, data & analytics.
- 3+ years in application and infrastructure design, implementation, or consulting.
- 7+ years in IT development or consulting in software or internet industries.
- Hands-on experience deploying full-stack generative AI workloads to production.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience optimizing production generative AI or Hybrid AI workloads.
- PhD in Computer Science (specialization in ML/DL/NLP) or Master’s with strong AI/ML focus.
- Knowledge of automation and workflow management at large scale.
