Legrand has an exciting opportunity for a Plant Controller to join the Electrical Wiring Systems Team inMississauga, ON. The Plant Controller will oversee all aspects of cost management and financial analysis for Power Bus Way’s manufacturing operations, ensuring the delivery of accurate and timely cost data to support both strategic initiatives and day-to-day decision-making.
Reporting directly to the EWS Operations Controller, this role provides comprehensive financial support for the daily operations of the recently acquired Power Bus Way business. Key responsibilities include maintaining a strong internal control environment, managing the monthly close process, preparing forecasts and budgets, and cost performance reporting.
The position also maintains a dotted-line reporting relationship to the Finance Director of Power Bus Way.
What Will You Do?
- Develop, implement, and maintain cost accounting methodologies and internal controls to ensure accurate financial reporting in compliance with regulatory standards and relevant corporate policies.
- Partner with Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, FP&A, and IT teams to align cost drivers, standard costing methods, and system processes. Act as a financial business partner to manufacturing and operations leadership.
- Collaborate with production and engineering teams to evaluate the cost implications of product design changes, manufacturing process improvements, and material substitutions.
- Prepare and analyze financial projections using current sales, labor, and production forecasts.
- Compare actual performance to forecast, budget, and prior year; highlight key variances and cost trends.
