Building Materials Procurement & Inventory Management Senior Professional

The Opportunity

Join our dynamic Transformer Service group as a Warehouse Operations Technician! Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth shipping and receiving of components, materials, and equipment to customer sites. How You’ll Make an Impact

Unload and inspect materials upon receipt.

Schedule shipment pick-ups to ensure timely deliveries.

Inspect raw materials, components, and subassemblies for quality assurance.

Take measurements, conduct electrical tests, and assist with mechanical connections.

Maintain accurate records of inspections, tests, and audits.

Prepare Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for defective materials or products.

Escalate quality issues and support root cause analysis and corrective actions.

Manage parts to be shipped for field operations.

Handling, operating and managing oil treatment

Perform workplace inspections and ensure site’s conformity

Support/assist field operation activities by searching, preparing and managing parts to be sent

Perform work on transformer when needed (site based)

Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your Background

Minimum 5 years of experience in a production or warehouse/logistics environment preferred.

Proficient with calipers, micrometers, and tape measures.

Experienced with forklift and overhead crane operation.

Solid understanding of warehouse management and inventory control.

Familiarity with shipping/logistics processes.

French is a must; English is recommended.

SAP/Microsoft Office/Outlook experience is a plus.

Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in Canada.
