Apex Companies LLC is seeking a highly motivated Senior Civil Project Engineer with experience leading civil engineering design projects and providing direction to civil design teams. This remote position can be based anywhere within the United States.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Plan and oversee medium to large transportation infrastructure projects.
- Lead the design of efficient and constructable civil projects.
- Estimate and manage labor hours for design projects; review job costing reports and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and maintain client relationships; ensure client satisfaction and objectives are met.
- Mentor design professionals.
- Engage in business development opportunities.
- Participate in professional organizations and events.
Examples of Projects You May Lead Include:
- Vancouver Heights Tower Mall Redevelopment: A 35-acre urban redevelopment project in Vancouver, Washington, including intersection improvements, roundabouts, new roads, and community spaces.
- Broadmoor Redevelopment: Assisting the City of Pasco in developing arterial roads, intersections, and community areas to promote private investments and planned growth.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field plus 10+ years’ experience in civil design and project management for transportation projects.
- Registered Professional Engineer or working towards licensure within one year; ability to obtain licensure by reciprocity.
- Strong understanding of civil design, construction standards, and environmental constraints.
- Proven track record of meeting project timelines and budgets.
- Experience developing relationships with municipalities and utilities.
- Knowledge of local code requirements.
- Ability to develop innovative engineering solutions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation InRoads, HydroCAD, WWHM2012.
Salary Range: $95,000—$140,000 USD annually.
