This role is responsible for leading a team of Directors of Product Support Sales across industries such as Construction and Forestry, Agriculture, Transportation, and Material Handling. The primary focus is on growing the parts and service business within these sectors. The successful candidate should have a proven track record in sales management, be dedicated to excellent customer service, well-organized, and capable of leading a motivated team. A relevant combination of education and experience in product support is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead sales efforts for Parts and Service globally through industry-focused Directors and regional managers.
- Establish and manage CSA territory coverage, recruitment, onboarding, and growth.
- Align customer lists and territories with branches.
- Develop regional sales management practices including meetings, reporting, and performance tracking.
Product Portfolio, Pricing, Promotion
- Collaborate with Marketing to develop retail programs for non-John Deere customer support products.
- Develop services for Inspections, Preventative Maintenance, and Warranty with Fleetwise and Marketing.
- Identify and fill gaps in the product support portfolio.
- Set and meet sales and margin targets in key categories.
- Create promotional calendars for each industry.
Compensation and Team Management
- Work with HR to develop compensation plans for CSAs.
- Implement incentive programs with sales coordinators and HR.
- Recruit, hire, train, and manage team performance.
