Job Overview
The Interior Designer is a full-time role involving collaboration with the Interior Design Project Lead to develop projects from concept through construction, styling, and décor. The candidate should be a self-starter, organized, and ready to work with an internal team and affluent clients across Canada.
Qualifications
- Degree in Interior Design
- 2-3 years of experience in interior design and drawing production
- Experience with luxury homes and multi-unit residential buildings preferred; other building types are a plus
- Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office; experience with Enscape, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Rhino is an asset
- Ability to develop hand sketches and drawings
- Knowledge of current design trends and resources
- Well-organized, problem-solving skills, discerning eye for design
- Committed to professional growth and self-education
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
Key Responsibilities
- Sketch and develop design concepts
- Manage client files and Revit models
- Prepare design, tender, and permit drawings, specifications, and material schedules
- Develop AI designs
- Conduct product sourcing and furniture/millwork design
- Create illustrations, renderings, and presentations for clients
- Prepare sample and mood boards
- Assist with FF&E budgets, schedules, procurement, and site activities
- Review shop drawings and liaise with consultants and trades
- Support construction administration and site reviews
- Contribute to social media strategies, content creation, and scheduling
- Uphold Human Architecture principles and embody Audax’s mission
