Description
Responsibilities:
- Provides comprehensive I&IT business analysis services for clients with diverse needs. Interacts with stakeholders to gather, document, and analyze requirements.
- Prepares and advises on business analysis policies, processes, and standards.
General Skills:
- Leads business analysis to assess problems and opportunities, documenting requirements for I&IT solutions.
- Applies re-engineering concepts to improve business processes.
- Develops strategies, business cases, and conducts feasibility studies.
- Gathers requirements using methods like JAD sessions, interviews, mockups.
- Performs business modeling, use case modeling, data modeling, and defines business rules.
- Monitors progress, resolves issues, reports to management.
- Develops performance measures and traceability matrices.
- Experience in requirements documentation, stakeholder engagement, and use of CASE tools.
- Awareness of emerging I&IT trends, strong analytical and communication skills.
Desirable Skills:
- Experience with information retrieval packages, understanding of IM principles.
- Ability to translate business/data requirements into technical specifications.
- Experience with business analysis methods and agile methodologies.
- Knowledge of Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (AODA).
Must Haves:
- Knowledge of database systems (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, Data Bricks).
- Ability to write complex SQL queries.
- Experience with Agile and Azure DevOps.
- Experience translating requirements into user stories.
- Knowledge of delta tables, ETL pipelines, change data capture, Data Bricks.
Experience & Skills (50%):
- 5-8 years as a Business Analyst, with 3+ years focused on data projects.
- Experience with system integrations, data migrations, legacy systems.
- Proficiency in agile practices, requirements management, data analysis, data modeling, and data governance.
- Strong documentation skills, data discovery, and data modeling expertise.
Technical & Project Management (50%):
- Knowledge of data warehouse design, Delta Lake, Medallion Architecture.
- Experience with relational databases, Azure Data services.
- Skills in SQL, data modeling, data warehousing, ETL processes.
- Understanding of data governance, quality, metadata, MDM.
- Experience with reporting tools like Power BI.
- Experience in defect fixing, testing, and project planning.
- Good communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- A team player with deadline management skills.
