Job Description
Description
gh3* is a multidisciplinary design practice based in Toronto, working across architecture, landscape architecture, and urbanism. Our studio engages a diverse portfolio that spans public realm design, municipal infrastructure, institutional buildings, private residential developments, and master planning — from single-family homes to significant civic spaces. We work at all scales, striving to innovate and excel in every project.
We are seeking an experienced, design-driven and technically experienced Landscape Architect at the intermediate or senior level to join our growing landscape studio. The ideal candidate will be a skilled designer with a background in architecture or urban design, and a strong technical foundation in the development and documentation of complex public realm projects. This is an opportunity to play a key role within a cross-disciplinary team and contribute meaningfully to the evolution of gh3*’s landscape practice.
- Lead or support the design and delivery of projects across all phases, from concept design to construction administration
- Develop comprehensive drawing sets and tender packages with a high level of technical resolution
- Coordinate with internal and external consultants, clients, and contractors
- Oversee the construction of landscape components on-site, particularly in the public and institutional sectors
- Mentor junior team members and contribute to studio-wide knowledge sharing
- Support the continued growth of gh3*’s landscape architecture portfolio
- Accredited degree in Landscape Architecture; additional background in Architecture or Urban Design is advantageous
- OALA or CSLA membership (or eligibility)
- 7+ years of professional experience, with at least one public or institutional project delivered through construction
- Demonstrated experience producing full drawing sets for tender
- Deep understanding of construction assemblies, with particular expertise in hardscape elements
- Advanced proficiency in Revit is essential; additional visualization and rendering skills are a strong asset
- Strong communication, leadership, and collaboration skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced studio environment
- Interest in large-scale and multidisciplinary projects
A dynamic, collaborative studio culture that values design excellence and intellectual curiosity
Opportunities to work on a wide variety of project types and scales
The chance to shape the future of a growing landscape architecture team and broader design practice
If you’re passionate about designing meaningful public spaces, technically proficient, and excited to contribute to a studio that bridges landscape and architecture, we’d love to hear from you.
