- Minimum 8 years of DBA experience building, deploying, and administering databases.
- Oracle knowledge is a must.
- Undergraduate Degree or Diploma in Computer Science.
- Responsible for building, implementing, configuring, managing, documenting, and tuning PostgreSQL 11 and above databases with Redhat Linux.
- Support PostgreSQL databases through development and production lifecycles with operational teams.
- Provide PostgreSQL database solution reviews and advice within company policies; troubleshoot and resolve database issues.
- Sound knowledge of Oracle Cloud at Customer on Exadata platform with hands-on experience in design, development, and implementation in large enterprises.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Exadata Appliance management and support.
- Experience with database security and encryption.
- Provide advice and lead on operational system/application planning, performance, availability, integration, support, and deployment.
- Develop and recommend technical strategies to maintain or improve service levels.
- Work independently on diverse tasks and support solutions, coaching others as needed.
- Expertise in database auditing, audit logging, and benchmarking audit points.
- Knowledge of compliance requirements such as SOX, PCI DSS, FISMA, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and FATCA.
- Expertise in user access management and database privileges.
- Experience deploying security patches and remediating vulnerabilities.
- Experience with Oracle 12c/19c RAC, ASM, and DataGuard technology, including Oracle Goldengate.
- Knowledge of RMAN backup/recovery for large databases.
- Proficiency in performance analysis tools like Statspack, SQL tracing, AWR, and ASH reports.
- Experience troubleshooting critical production incidents.
- Proficiency in Python, Perl, and UNIX shell scripting.
- Experience with IBM IIDR data replication.
- Knowledge of backup tools like Tivoli Storage Manager.
- Experience backing up and recovering application and catalog tablespaces.
- Ability to influence product development, identify issues, and work with emerging products.
