Role Overview
The Fund Reporting Manager reports to the Director, Fund Treasury, and is part of the Fund Oversight Division. Responsibilities include overseeing financial reporting, external audits, compliance with regulatory requirements, French translation processes, PFIC reporting, and managing third-party service providers.
What You Will Do
- Support and oversee the preparation and filing of Fund financial statements, management reports, and quarterly holdings, ensuring compliance with IFRS, NI 81-106, and NI 81-102.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders, log meetings, track issues and deliverables.
- Prepare materials for the Fund Audit Committee.
- Conduct annual due diligence visits to service providers.
- Stay updated on regulations and standards to ensure compliance.
- Assist with onboarding new product initiatives, identifying key considerations.
Manage Oversight of Specialty Reporting
- Oversee PFIC reporting projects, ensuring collaboration and meeting deadlines.
- Maintain contact with fund administrators and tax advisors, log meetings, track issues.
- Facilitate communication of complex matters.
Other Responsibilities
- Support special projects related to audit requirements, vendor operations, and regulatory governance.
- Participate in cross-training and provide backup support.
What We’re Looking For
- University Degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ Years relevant experience; managerial experience is a plus.
- Knowledge of Canadian and global investment industry standards, including NI 81-102, NI 81-106, IFRS.
- Fund accounting and reporting expertise.
- Accounting designation (CPA, CA) or post-graduate qualification (MBA, CFA, CBV).
