As an Application Architect (Temenos) , you will play a key role in shaping my client’s technology strategy, ensuring that Temenos applications are scalable, secure, and highly available. You will design and implement innovative software applications that support financial services offerings, driving continuous improvement and innovation. This role is essential in ensuring that applications align with business needs, security protocols, and compliance standards.
A Typical Day Would Involve:
- Lead the design and architecture of Temenos applications, ensuring alignment with business requirements, security protocols, compliance standards, and vendor guidelines.
- Collaborate with IT leadership to define the technical direction and roadmap for Temenos application development and modernization.
- Oversee the technical delivery of Temenos applications across the full lifecycle, working closely with development teams to ensure timely and successful implementation.
- Evaluate third-party software solutions and recommend integration strategies.
- Partner with business analysts, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Work closely with infrastructure teams to ensure applications meet performance, security, and availability requirements.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and advocate for the adoption of modern software development practices.
- Ensure that applications adhere to financial industry regulations by incorporating appropriate controls and security measures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including application refactoring and performance optimization.
You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- 8+ years of experience in software architecture and application development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within financial services.
- Deep understanding of the Temenos Core Banking System and Canadian banking/payments ecosystem.
- Experience in agile development methodologies and familiarity with financial regulatory reporting, AML, and KYC systems.
- Proficiency in the full stack (Web, Application, Database) and experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Expertise in security technologies, such as identity management, data encryption, and secure coding practices.
- Strong leadership and collaboration skills with the ability to engage cross-functional teams.
- Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and communication skills.
