THE OPPORTUNITY
You will:
- Coordinate site visits to visually assess conditions of all major building systems including structural, envelope, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Synthesize information collected on site with drawings, documents, and building operator interviews to identify components requiring major repair or replacement.
- Exercise engineering judgment to develop and recommend repair strategies including scope of repair, timing, and expected costs.
- Author full or partial narrative reports.
You have:
- A degree in engineering (Civil, Mechanical, or Architectural Engineering).
- A minimum of 2 years experience related to the core responsibilities of the position.
- P.Eng designation or working towards it.
- Strong critical thinking skills including the ability to analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources and provide justifiable recommendations.
- Ability to build and maintain client relationships.
- Motivated to learn about all building systems (structural, architectural, mechanical, electrical). Training will be provided.
- Strong report writing skills, including diligent sentence structure, grammar, and spelling.
- Team player mindset.
We will provide:
- Competitive salary of $81,000 to $90,000 annually plus profit sharing.
