About Floorspace
Floorspace is a modern commercial real estate brokerage and the team behind FLO , a proprietary project management platform designed by brokers to streamline the leasing process. From onboarding new clients to navigating deal stages and final conveyance, FLO centralizes data, insights, and alerts to help brokers move faster and work smarter.
We’re looking for a contract software developer to support our internal team as we expand FLO. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s comfortable working in a fast-paced, startup-like environment and wants to contribute to a platform that’s being actively used by brokers every day.
The Role
You’ll be working alongside our CTO and product team to support ongoing development and maintenance of FLO. This is a short-to-mid-term contract position with the potential for extension depending on workload and fit.
What You’ll Do
- Build and enhance product features across the FLO platform
- Collaborate with the core team to scope technical work and deliver clean, functional code
- Help resolve bugs, improve data workflows, and maintain platform reliability
- Support product testing and implementation of new features in coordination with real-time user feedback
What We’re Looking For
- Strong grasp of REST APIs, Git workflows, and relational databases
- Ability to quickly understand an existing codebase and ship solid updates
- Comfortable working independently with regular check-ins
- Prior experience supporting internal dev teams or working in a contract capacity
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with commercial real estate workflows or enterprise SaaS
- Experience with Celery, Docker, or React/Vue
- An eye for UX/UI and clean, maintainable code
- Duration: 3- 6 months (with possibility of extension)
- Weekly check-ins with our CTO and product team
- Hourly or fixed fee structure negotiable based on experience
