Responsibilities
As our new full-time Agriculture Technical Advisor, your responsibilities will include:
- Conduct outbound agri-business planning sessions with Canadian growers over the phone, leading meaningful conversations to uncover needs and demonstrate tailored agronomic solutions that provide value and results.
- Manage transactional information flow from opportunity to demand generation, coordinating field representatives when necessary to meet targeted budgets.
- Provide inbound technical agronomic support to growers, retailers, and business representatives, building trusted relationships.
- Take full ownership of incoming client calls, ensuring customer satisfaction and a positive experience.
- Develop thorough knowledge of client products, tools, and services to support customer requests effectively.
- Record key discussion points from conversations for metrics, future opportunities, and market intelligence.
- Note: This role is currently remote.
Requirements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Results-driven, highly organized, and detail-oriented.
- Ability to create and communicate value to customers in English and French.
- Independent thinker with problem-solving skills, capable of handling objections and managing expectations.
- Teamwork skills and active listening to uncover needs and provide solutions.
- Optimistic outlook and openness to constructive feedback.
- Willingness to learn and stay informed on current industry topics affecting Canadian agriculture.
- Exceptional customer service skills over phone and email.
Experience:
- University degree or diploma in Agriculture or related sciences.
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Previous sales experience is preferred.
