We are seeking a Senior Cybersecurity Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and enhancement of our Policy Enforcement Point. This crucial security component enables policy-based access control for various Data Loss Prevention (DLP) modules. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize security features aimed at protecting sensitive information. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and Develop: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain the Policy Enforcement Tool(s), ensuring it supports the latest security requirements and business needs.
- DLP Integration: Implement features that track test cases, log incoming/outgoing requests, and identify sensitive information passing through DLP measures.
- Compliance and Security: Ensure all developments comply with business standards, industry regulations, and organizational security requirements.
- Testing: Work with synthetic data (system-generated test/mockup data) to rigorously test security controls and ensure the tool’s effectiveness in real-world scenarios.
- Performance Optimization: Optimize the performance and scalability of the Policy Enforcement Point to meet both current and future security demands.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other engineering teams to integrate DLP capabilities across various platforms and systems.
Required Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Software Engineering Skills: Proven experience in solving complex software engineering problems and designing security-focused tools and applications.
- DLP Expertise: Familiarity with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) concepts and tools, specifically in asset protection contexts.
- Data Security: Strong understanding of access controls (role-based and attribute-based), data patterns, and data mining techniques.
- Collaboration Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and teamwork abilities.
- Agile Experience: Experience working in an Agile development environment is a plus.
- Data Handling: Experience working with common data repositories (SQL, MSSQL Server, MongoDB, etc.), and familiarity with synthetic data for testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with developing or enhancing Policy Enforcement Points or similar security tools.
- Knowledge of security protocols, industry regulations, and frameworks (e.g., NIST, GDPR, HIPAA).
- Familiarity with cloud-based security tools and DLP solutions.
- Experience with automated testing and continuous integration (CI/CD) processes.
Certifications (if applicable):
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or similar cybersecurity certifications.
Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) or other relevant certifications in data security.
