Job Summary
The MRI Technologist performs MRI procedures following department policies to ensure high-quality patient care. Participates in on-call rotation.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures according to protocols.
- Ensure correct patient information and technical settings.
- Prepare and administer contrast media.
- Perform venipuncture using sterile technique.
- Process, record, and archive images.
- Complete procedures timely and send images to PACS.
- Assist in patient movement and participate in on-call coverage.
- Complete RIS transactions and documentation.
- Perform equipment checks and report malfunctions.
- Communicate with staff and patients, ensuring safety and comfort.
- Provide patient education and ensure compliance with safety criteria.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
Qualifications
- Certification: Licensure by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
- Experience: 1 year in a relevant setting.
- Education: Graduate of an approved discipline-specific program.
Additional Information
