Job Title: Informatica/PLSQL Data Developer
Location: Calgary, AB – Onsite
Contract: 6-month contract with possibility of extension
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour shifts (5×2). After-hours support will be required on a rotational basis
within the team
Airswift is seeking an Informatica/PLSQL Data Developer to join our client’s Data Provisioning Services team. This is an onsite role based in Calgary, supporting a high-impact team that plays a key role in the company’s transformation into a data-driven organization.
In this position, you’ll collaborate with Data Analysts, Business Systems Analysts, and industry experts to design and build data pipelines and products for analytics and application integration. You’ll use tools like Informatica PowerCenter and Oracle PL/SQL to manage the entire data lifecycle—extracting, transforming, validating, and loading data from diverse sources into operational data stores, data warehouses, and applications, ensuring seamless integration and insightful reporting.
The Data Provisioning Services team develops data-driven solutions that enhance customer service and internal operations. This is a hands-on role focused on performance, reliability, and scalability.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver support for data integration, including monitoring, configuration, troubleshooting, user administration, and optimizing data objects.
- Ensure smooth transitions from project to production following ITIL processes.
- Lead root cause analysis to resolve incidents quickly, minimizing downtime.
- Configure and manage data replication and integration using tools like HVR, Informatica PowerCenter, Orchestrator, and DevOps.
- Optimize performance for queries and data pipelines.
- Develop and maintain best practices, templates, and standards for data engineering.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3+ years of experience developing high-performance ETL/ELT data pipelines.
- 3+ years of experience as an Informatica Developer with PowerCenter, DevOps/CI/CD, and REST APIs.
- 3+ years of experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL, and SQL Server development.
- Bonus: Experience with Change Data Capture (CDC), data replication tools like HVR, Power Exchange, and scheduling with MS Orchestrator.
- Proficient in handling various file types including XML, JSON, CSV, Text, and Excel.
