We are inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant, SRE – Observability Engineer .

We seek an SRE – Observability Engineer to ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability. You will design and implement observability solutions providing insights into system health.

Responsibilities

  1. Design, implement, and maintain observability solutions (monitoring, logging, tracing) across distributed systems using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, OBM, or Datadog.
  2. Develop telemetry pipelines to collect and process metrics, logs, and traces from infrastructure, platforms, and applications.
  3. Collaborate with teams to define SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets to meet reliability and performance goals.
  4. Automate observability tooling deployment and configuration using infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Helm.
  5. Create dashboards and alerts for real-time insights and proactive incident response.
  6. Perform root cause analysis during incidents and lead blameless postmortems.
  7. Integrate observability into CI/CD pipelines and support practices like canary releases and blue-green deployments.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Graduate or postgraduate in Technology, Computers, or IT.
  • Or a degree in Computer Science, IT, Systems Engineering, or related fields.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in site reliability engineering or observability roles.
  • Proficiency with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
  • Scripting skills in Python or Bash.
  • Strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Ability to take initiative.
  • Knowledge of Capital Markets is preferred.
  • Effective stakeholder communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of IT infrastructure and troubleshooting.
