The role & about the client:
On behalf of our client, ITS Building People (Southampton) are working with a leading roofing contractor known for delivering high-quality projects across the South of England. Specialising in commercial projects, they pride themselves on craftsmanship, safety standards, and client relationships.
They are seeking an experienced Roofing Contracts Manager to oversee multiple projects from tender to completion. This hands-on role involves site visits, liaising with clients, managing teams, and ensuring projects are on time, within budget, and of high quality.
Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee multiple roofing projects (pitched and flat) across Hampshire and surrounding areas.
- Manage subcontractors and site teams, ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
- Plan and coordinate labour, materials, and equipment.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular site inspections and provide progress reports.
The ideal candidate:
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role within the roofing industry.
- Strong knowledge of roofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Full UK driving licence.
Essential Qualifications/Experience:
- Proven experience as a Contracts Manager or similar role within the roofing industry.
- SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) – desirable.
- First Aid at Work – desirable.
- Strong knowledge of flat roofing systems, materials, and installation methods.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at once.
- Full UK driving licence.
