Build high-performing teams by developing, mentoring, and retaining engaged staff to support programming and strategic objectives. This role involves working with consulting clients and maintaining high-touch communication.

Roles and Responsibilities

Review survey documents and provide consultation for accurate programming, optimal data layout, and respondent experience.

Program surveys of various complexities in survey platforms such as Decipher and/or CMIX.

Create or update programming templates and coordinate with R&D for custom features.

Plan project handovers across shifts and divide tasks within the team, with senior programmers handling complex or new functionalities.

Optimize code and update templates to manage project repetition needs.

Maintain a positive programming environment, advocating a “learn and share” culture.

Program multiple surveys in parallel, delivering initial test links and changes on time. Recommend options to expedite programming and enhance user experience.

Identify and justify turnaround times to clients, suggesting alternatives to accelerate edits.

Test surveys, validate content and logic, and coordinate with QA teams for further testing.

Support project management and client teams in creating custom reports.

Coordinate data checks throughout the project lifecycle.

Lead discussions with clients and project managers on best programming practices and solutions.

Coordinate translations and language overlays with relevant teams.

Mentor new and existing staff in technical skills.
Position Requirements
-
5+ years of Decipher programming experience.
-
Programmed over 200 projects, including international and tracker projects.

Experience training new hires or team members.
-
Ability to manage projects independently and review others’ code.

Advanced knowledge of Python, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, or jQuery.

Team player with good collaboration skills.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects to meet deadlines, asking for help when needed.

Attention to detail and a passion for survey programming, with a willingness to learn new technologies.

Experience with CMIX, Confirmit, SPSS, Sawtooth, or similar software is a plus.

Willingness to work weekends is a plus.
