The role involves supporting data and analytics at Scotiabank’s Global Contact Centres by developing ELT/ETL pipelines for advanced analytics (AI/ML). The primary focus is collaborating with the Customer Insights & Analytics Team and the Global Data & Analytics Team to conduct ad hoc data analyses, develop data pipelines on Airflow, and assist the MIS & Reporting team in designing and evolving departmental reporting platforms and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop BI solutions addressing operational needs.
- Integrate multiple data sources across contact center platforms to build end-to-end BI products.
- Define metrics/KPIs and develop customer insights models.
- Assist in architecture and infrastructure design for MIS & Data Analytics teams.
- Apply analytics tools and methodologies to generate actionable insights, build models, and provide strategic recommendations.
- Develop ETLs on On-Prem and Cloud using Python, Spark, DBT, Airflow, BigQuery, SQL, and Power BI.
- Produce analyses, deep-dives, and drill-downs on specific issues or opportunities.
- Prepare reports and presentations to communicate findings.
- Support coaching and upskilling peers in advanced analytics.
- Streamline and automate existing products to enable development of new solutions.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years in business intelligence, analytics, data engineering, or data science.
- 2+ years in business analysis or client relationship roles.
- 3+ years in reporting, UI design, and BI solutioning.
- Proficiency in Python and SQL for data analysis and ETL processes.
- Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and database design.
- Knowledge of cloud architecture (GCP, Azure, AWS) and Big Data tools.
- Strong collaboration skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
- Experience with NLP, UNIX shell scripting, Docker, CI/CD, Airflow, Kubernetes, and telephony data (assets).
- French and/or Spanish fluency is an asset.
