What You’ll Do
- You’ll play a central role in designing and implementing frameworks that manage, validate, and distribute critical reference data—particularly Security Master data—across systems and teams.
- Lead the design and implementation of MDM frameworks for securities, clients, legal entities, and more
- Configure and enhance MDM platforms such as GoldenSource, Markit EDM, S&P EDM, or AIM
- Integrate market data feeds (e.g., Bloomberg, Reuters) with internal and downstream systems like trading platforms and risk engines
- Establish and maintain golden copy processes, deduplication logic, data lineage, and version control standards
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders (portfolio management, risk, operations, compliance) to gather requirements and align solutions
- Define data validation rules, enrichment logic, and exception handling workflows
- Partner with IT and architecture teams to ensure smooth end-to-end data integration
- Monitor data quality, support issue resolution, and ensure ongoing governance compliance
- Translate business needs into MDM workflows and configuration logic
- Contribute to enterprise data governance strategies and act as the subject matter expert for Security Master and core reference data
What We’re Looking For
- You’re a detail-oriented, big-picture thinker who understands the critical role reference data plays in financial decision-making.
- You combine strategic thinking with technical proficiency and thrive in cross-functional teams.
- Strong experience managing Security Master data in an asset or investment management setting
- Hands-on experience with MDM tools such as GoldenSource, Markit EDM, S&P EDM, or AIM
- Experience sourcing and integrating market data from providers like Bloomberg, Reuters, or ICE
- Strong understanding of MDM principles: golden copy, data lineage, deduplication, and metadata
- Familiarity with APIs, ETL pipelines, and scripting (e.g., Python or SQL) for integration and transformation
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across business and technology teams
- Experience working with downstream systems such as OMS, PMS, risk systems, and reporting platforms
- Previous experience at an MDM product vendor or implementing MDM tools internally is a plus
- Proven ability to translate business problems into structured data management solutions
- Strong documentation and stakeholder engagement skills
