They are dedicated to delivering excellence in HR operations and strategy, ensuring robust compliance, seamless employee lifecycle management, and the advancement of workforce initiatives aligned with business priorities.
What you will achieve in this role:
- Serve as a trusted HR leader and advisor, building strong relationships with senior stakeholders to influence strategic people priorities.
- Lead core HR processes including year-end compensation, annual performance reviews, talent development, and succession planning.
- Oversee HR data systems, workflows, and compliance frameworks across the employee lifecycle.
- Translate HR data into actionable insights to improve retention, develop talent, and strengthen diversity and inclusion efforts.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to align HR initiatives with organizational goals and industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Advisory & Leadership
- Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders to drive people strategies.
- Advise on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent initiatives.
- Align HR operational strategies with broader business priorities.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Manage core HR systems, records, and workflows, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Oversee payroll processing and employment documentation.
- Support immigration and work permit processes.
- Lead audits and ensure adherence to HR policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Talent, Performance & Engagement
- Drive annual HR cycles, including compensation, performance reviews, and development planning.
- Identify key trends from HR metrics and implement targeted improvement strategies.
- Facilitate initiatives to increase employee engagement and retention.
Policy & Process Development
- Review and update HR policy and procedure manuals.
- Collaborate with peers to identify innovative process improvements and enhance service delivery.
- Ensure compliance with relevant employment laws and industry standards.
What you must bring to this role:
- 8+ years of progressive HR experience, ideally within a financial institution or regulated industry.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian employment law and HR compliance frameworks.
- Exceptional relationship management, advisory, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms.
