Position Overview
The Senior Investment Sales Associate will work independently to market our real estate investment products to accredited investors. Warm calls, scheduling meetings, investor pitches, this is very much a roll up the sleeves and get it done position.
Our investment products are exempt market private real estate development opportunities and we pride ourselves in providing the highest client service to our investors.
Compensation includes a base salary plus performance-based bonuses.
Responsibilities
- The role is a combination of sales (70%) and business development (30%)
- Develop strong relationships with prospective investors with a focus on client service and establishing long term relationships
- Maintain a deep understanding and technical knowledge of offerings in order to provide the best solutions for Investors
- Host client intake meetings with prospective investors to explain the offerings, investment process, structuring, returns, risk and other relevant factors
- Clearly communicate our offerings and assist investors in understanding all subscription documentation, funding requirements, and post-close activities
- Maintain up to date investor files and information on the CRM software
- Provide sound and appropriate advice to meet the investor’s objectives
- Adhering to all firm and regulatory policies by remaining up to date with all regulatory rules and activities as they relate to transactions and ensuring that investor interactions are accurately documented
- Assist in various marketing efforts such as creating investor presentations, webinars, and educational materials
What We Are Looking For
- Minimum 3 years financial services, real estate, investments or related sales experience in a client facing capacity
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing a growing portfolio of clients
- A post-secondary degree and/or qualification in a related field, including Business, Finance, Real Estate, Investments
- Credentials such as the CFP, CIM, CFA, CSC, or EMP would be considered an asset, especially for candidates with experience in exempt market products and client advisory roles.
Required Skills
- Effective verbal and written communications skills: ability to explain development strategies and offering details, and handle client concerns in a professional and appropriate manner
- Strong sense of ownership, responsibility, and accountability
- Passion for selling and a track record of meeting and exceeding personal targets
- Proficiency with a large CRM database is preferred (I.e. Salesforce, Pipedrive, Zoho, etc.)
Other Qualifications
- Self-starter, ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the best interest of the company
- Ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial environment, think outside of the box and deliver solutions
- Thorough knowledge of the regulatory environment and other aspects of private capital markets
- Strong analytical skills with proven experience in developing strategic solutions that have a direct impact on project success
- Organized and can work well under pressure, meet strict deadlines
- Real estate experience and/or exempt market investment experience in private equity/debt is preferred
- Fluency in more than one language is an asset
