Description

Meet Benevity

Benevity is the way the world does good, providing companies (and their employees) with technology to take social action on the issues they care about. Through giving, volunteering, grantmaking, employee resource groups, and micro-actions, we help most of the Fortune 100 build better cultures and use their power for good. We are also one of the first B Corporations in Canada, committed to purpose as much as profits. Our team members work worldwide, including in Canada, Spain, Switzerland, the UK, the US, and more!

We are seeking an experienced, energetic, team-oriented, and solutions-focused Business Partner to join our People Team. The successful candidate will be a trusted partner to Benevity-ites, with strong business acumen and HR experience. This role is ideal for someone with a relentless client, people, and culture focus who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to contribute to our growth.

Please note: this position is an 18-month contract.

What you’ll do:

  • Utilize solid business and people acumen to develop solutions that build culture and drive high performance.
  • Recommend and influence creative solutions to complex situations, even unfamiliar ones.
  • Build trust-based relationships across all levels of the business and within the People Team.
  • Demonstrate enthusiasm, creativity, and organizational values in your work.
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of People and Talent programs based on client needs.
  • Support business teams in executing People Programs such as Performance Management, Succession Planning, and Compensation.
  • Promote and support Diversity and Inclusion initiatives.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and conduct investigations discreetly and effectively.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience as a strategic partner and coach to leaders, providing advice and support in People & Culture matters.
  • Ability to balance strategic and tactical priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills.
  • A proven change agent who challenges approaches respectfully.
  • Critical thinking and information integration skills.
  • Strong listening, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of working independently.
  • Sound judgment, business acumen, and practical experience to guide recommendations.
  • Ability to influence and present complex information clearly to leaders.
  • Comfort in engaging in challenging conversations with clarity and conviction.

Discover your purpose at work
